P90x Day 10: Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper X

Like usual I started my workout with Ab Ripper X, it wasn't as hard as last time but I still found it murder on my Ab area. I still stuck with doing 15 reps of each workout which seems to be begin going well.

Shoulders and arms didn't go that well. It took a lot out of me, I really struggled with a few of the moves especially the flip-grip twist ones, those were murder. I upped my weights to 3.5 a boy did I feel the difference. As I said I did struggle but I felt like I could cope with the added weight as long as I kept my mind blank and only concentrate on what I was doing.

Update For the Week

So I haven’t posted anything in a little while, and to tell you the truth I didn't have enough time. I didn't even have enough time to do my work out the past two days. I’ve got some sort of cold also which has had me in bed whenever I've not been at work. Even at work I was sluggish and couldn't be bothered doing anything. Something that would take me a hour to do during a normal shift took me my whole shift to do. The reason that I still went into work I that I can afford to take any more sick days.

So today is pay day and I really couldn’t be bothered to go any were, or doing anything. However when I woke up this morning, I realized that my nose jewelery had come out during the night and I couldn’t find my other one to put in. So I got ready and went away to the nearest piercing place to get a new one. Got back home and the damn thing won’t go it. It’s already closed up, and I'm not in the mood to be forcing it in, it’s bleeding too much just gently putting it. So I am really pissed off at that.

When I was out I finally managed to get to Holland and barrettes and purchased some whey protein, it’s this one here. I got the banana flavour, because I like banana milkshake and I’m not too keen on chocolate or strawberry. They did have cookies and cream but wasn’t too sure about that one either I also got a bottle which was a fiver, wasn't really expecting it to cost that much but well. To try it I first mixed it with water but it doesn't taste nice with the water so tomorrow I’ll try it with milk and see how it tastes. It says on the back you can mix it with juice or yogurt but that should kind of disgusting.

Ok so you keep asking so I took really quick photos just there to shut you guys up while I get better ones done, the flash on my phone sucks!!! As you can probably see. You can't really see everything but you'll all just have to deal with it just now.

So I'm off to go do Shoulders & Arms, Ab Ripper X and maybe even Yoga, I’ll see how I feel after shoulders & arms.

P90x Day 9: Ploymetrics

So I woke again today a bit later than I would have liked considering today was a cardio day, I did however still manage to do Plyometrics.

I knew that this wasn't going to get any easier and it wasn't. During some of the moves I felt like I was going to pass out or be sick, it was not good. I still can't seem to get my knees up that much, but I'm hoping to improve over time.

Well its just a quick one today, I am shattered. Today was a really busy day at work, every 3 weeks its like it. Can't wait until Friday Payday!!! Oh that reminds me, the dentist phoned while I was in the middle of plyo (I was hyperventilating practically on the phone to the poor receptionist, she must have thought something was happening to me) and my dentist is having to attend a funeral on Friday so I had to get the appointment re-arranged. So I need to wait until Monday to go now.

Well I'm away off to bed, got to repeat all of today tomorrow again I am looking forward to shoulders and arms.

For those who ask about pictures going up, they will be going up hopefully on Friday or even Thursday, I just need the time to upload them the way I want and resize them. I don't have the time for that just now but they are coming.

P90x Day 8: Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X

Ok so as you can see I just missed out day 7 because it was only stretching and also I like to keep my start of the week a Monday.

I woke up early today but still didn't seem to have enough time before work so I just watched Jeremy Kyle and drank tea all until I had to go to work. Work was long and hard, didn't have a minute to myself and went the full shift without a break. Luckily the girl on night shift came in 20 minutes early and let me have a wee cup of coffee to perk myself up. So I didn't have anything to eat all day which is really bad, but I had a good dinner when I came home.

After having my dinner and watching the start of firefly that the boyfriend recently re-got I got my exercise equipment and outfit on. Oh the company that I work for just recently got together with another company to promote each other (or something like that) and they were giving away free t-shirts so I've got myself a brand spanking new workout top wohoo!

As usually I did ab ripper x to begin with, and this time as its the start of a new week I increased the reps for each by 5. It may not seem a lot but it was for me, it was like day 1 again. However this time I really enjoyed it. For chest and back I also increased the reps for the non weighted ones, the pull-ups and push-ups. So that's me doing 10 assisted pull-ups and 10 push-ups (off of my knees, I've never liked that way just seems pointless). For the weighted ones I forgot to increase the weight of each dumbbell so I'll need to remember to do that for shoulders & arms. I feel like a weakling because for each dumbbell its only 2.5kg of weight so I feel like I should be increasing it.

I thought it would have been a lot harder doing 5 more reps, and I was right, but its what I set out to accomplish with today's workout. I'm going to slowly increase the reps then I'm going to go for the really hard modded version, like adding the arms up or raising a leg. At the end of the workout I actually had a smile on my face it was fantastic, I love P90x.

Even at work after only a week of doing it I could feel the difference in my posture when lifting things, bending over or general just walking around.

Well I'm going to go now, because I am really tired. I've got another long day ahead of me tomorrow so wish me luck!

P90x Day 6: Kenpo X

Boy am I glad I downloaded that Heart rate monitor app, cause Kenpo X certainly gets you blood pumping.

Alot of the time it was up at 175 so I had to stop and let it settle down abit, it got that bad at a point I could hear my heart in my ears and there was white spots in front of my eyes. I actually stopped 10 minutes early and I'm sitting down trying to type this. I thought Plyo was hard!

There is like 5 minutes to go in the Celtic V Rangers game so I'm going to go watch Rangers get humped yet again and then I'm going to do X-Stretch. All my muscles are really tight so I think I could use a good stretch.

Just thought I'd post something before I start my workout, I was on this blog Jrock Review and I just had to listen to this song. I just love this song, its totally fantastic the only thing I hate is that it isn't on spotify.

Next Week

So next week is going to be really hard for me. At work I do shifts and sometimes they are early mornings, late evening or sometimes even nightshift. Yesterday I phoned work to get my shift for this week, and I got my manager and so he got me to do 40 hours this week. For the past month I've only been doing 14 at most, and Ive also had 2 weeks holiday. 

The only day off I've got is Friday (Payday!!!!), but Friday is my dentist visit. Its mostly 2-10 I'll be working but I'm rubbish at getting up early so its going to be hard to do the workouts each day. I think I need to get some sort of organizer for myself so that I know what I've to do each hour of the day lol. 

Well I'm going to go get something to eat then do Kempo, which I'm not really looking forward to. I also downloaded a app for my htc to see what my heart rate is. They keep going on about being "in the zone" but I couldn't afford a heart rate monitor so this is the closest I'm going to get.
