P90x Day 19: Legs & Back + Ab Ripper X

So today was legs and back my least favourite of the P90x routines so far, its just so murder on my legs. It takes me all my time to do the moves still. I just hope that my the end of the 90 days it get a little bit better. The pull-ups are fine now, still struggle on the last few (still doing 15 assisted). After the rest week I'm hoping to maybe do  1 unassisted, if I get to 5 by the end of the program I will be so happy.

Now that I'm nearing the end of the first part, rest week starting Thursday, I've been looking at my notebook were I write all the reps and weights that I've used and I'm so happy already with the results. Starting this program it wasn't about losing weight or doing so many push-ups it was about just getting back into exercise. My goal for this year is to get fit, to be able to go running maybe even hockey.

About 4/5 years ago I would run and cycle everywhere, I played netball, basketball and hockey for my school I also played netball and done cross county and 1500 for Glasgow and the west. I look back over these past years and I just think what the fuck happened to me? Why did I let myself get like this? And the answer in my eyes is simple, I was lazy I wanted to sit around and smoke weed and eat hunners of shit because I could. Now I'm getting back into my old ways, and hoping that by the end of this year I'm fit and healthy, if I lose weight fantastic, if I can do 50 military push-ups again then so be it but I don't care as long as I'm happy again.

Kenpo tomorrow, really looking forward to it. Bye guys!

  2. Good luck with that, I've never tried to get fit before recently, but I've been doing situps etc for a while now and feel way better for it!

  3. I'm on phase 3 of round 2 and I love P90X. Keep it up, the main thing is to stick with it. Legs and Back is a killer - the wall squats were so painful at first, I also hate Mary Katherine and Debbie Sieber, hahaha.
At least you've got a nice workout tomorrow - Kenpo is great fun, and you have Core Synergistics to look forward to next week. Good times.

I hope it continues to go well for you and just send me a message or something if you need advice with the diet or the workouts, or anything :)

  9. The main thing is to stick with it! No matter how slowly it might seem to go, there's always SOMETHING working in there.
